Sara Kamins
I worked at GENI for two years after graduating
from college, first as an intern and later as a Research
Analyst. GENI gave me the opportunity to develop a
website on Renewable Energy Policies and an index
fund (the GC100) that promotes investment in companies
that advance solutions to climate change. I researched
many things about global warming and energy markets
while at GENI, but most significantly, I learned about
global policies to mitigate climate change and the
financial potential of investing in cleantech companies.
GENI was an inspiring work environment where I learned
that big dreams paired with dedication and focused
solutions could lead to changing the world.
Since GENI, I have received my Masters of Science
degree in Energy and Resources at UC-Berkeley and
now work at the California Public Utilities Commission
(CPUC) to implement California's Renewables Portfolio
Standard (RPS).
If you were a GENI intern or volunteer and we've
missed your name, please contact
GENI as soon as possible, including information
about the time(s), date(s), and project(s) involved.
