The Uzbekenergo [Uzbek energy] state joint stock
company has started the construction of a 500-kV high-voltage

The 93m-dollar power line will make it possible to
increase export of Uzbek electricity to Afghanistan,

a Regnum news agency correspondent. The source said
that in October 2008, the Islamic Development Bank
gave the company a 42m-dollar loan that will be spent
