
Angola approves power transmission
project

The Angolan government has approved the construction
of a 220-kilovolt power transmission line and relevant
infrastructural projects in northern Uige Province,
Angola's official news agency ANGOP reported on Sunday.
According to No. 92 State Gazette, the government
authorizes the Ministry of Energy and Waters to sign
a contract with the Odebrecht Elecnor Isolux consortium
for the project which will start from Lucala to Pambos
in Uige Province.
The government has also authorized the consortium
for the contract of supplying of technical assistance
and supervision.
Angola's Finance Ministry will take charge of guaranteeing
financial resources necessary for the implementation
of the project, said the document.
