UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network Advocates Long Distance Transmission To Transmit Zero-Carbon Renewable Electricity

Dear GENI Friend,

Map of North American electricity transmissionWe have previously featured the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with its agenda: "Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development."

Noted economist and Columbia University Professor Jeffery Sachs is leading this initiative to achieve the 17 primary goals: to solve issues of poverty, hunger, health, education, climate change, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice. It's a bold agenda for developed and developing nations.

We met Dr. Sachs when he hosted the Global Roundtable on Climate Change – where we pushed the GENI initiative as a premier solution to mitigate climate change and elevate our universal quality of life.

In the early years of Pierre Trudeau's premiership of Canada, when he was about to make his first visit to Russia (1971) I gave him my world energy network grid plan, which he presented to Brezhnev, who turned it over to his experts. On his return to Canada Trudeau reported that the experts had come back to Brezhnev with 'feasible ... desirable.' -- quote by Buckminster Fuller, Critical Path (page xxxi)Now, with strong modeling and validation, Sachs and the UN Sustainable Solution Network are advocating this strategy between all nations. It's the essential link to wean us off of fossil fuels and tap abundant zero-carbon energies.

Tapping abundant clean energy resources via interconnected high-voltage AC and DC transmission between nations is a top priority within the United Nations!

What's it going to take? Money, investment, Wall Street and World Bank financing. It's a $10 trillion need in the next 30 years. Your city, nation and all humanity will benefit.
