U.S. Coastal Cities
At Risk Due To Sea Level Rise

Dear GENI Friend,

Once again we are seeing record breaking summer heat, exploding fires and extreme flooding. Climate change is happening today. These are the states with the most homes potentially at risk to rising sea levels: (Source: Priceonomics and data by GAVOP insurance data and risk assessment.)

US states and places most at risk to rising sea levels -- GAVOP23 of 50 states in America have some level of their population living in coastal zones.

Florida has by far the most people living in areas that could flood with rising sea levels.

California and Washington, which abutt the Pacific Ocean rank as the places with the 2nd and 3rd most people at risk to rising sea levels.

We have been forewarned. Long range planners must take these risks and projections into account for public safety, infrastructure security and a city’s financial viability. The seas are rising.
