This month, GENI Board member Michael Powers and I attended the Global Grid Forum in Vancouver — hosted by GEIDCO, the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization. GEIDCO is led by Zhenya Liu, past Chairman of the State Grid of China.

Zhenya Liu was responsible for China's national electrification over the past 2 decades, building high-voltage transmission across China and driving China's RE development into the world's largest wind and solar power industries.

GENI's 30 year mission to interconnect renewable energy resources around the world is fully incorporated by GEIDCO with their regional studies, offices and staff on all continents.

Visit www.GEIDCO.org for more information about their proposed global electricity interconnection grid: https://upload.geidco.org/2019/0727/1564215818191.jpgWe also met with Peter Fairley, writer for the IEEE Spectrum who reported the conference to engineers everywhere.

This is Climate Change awareness month. The optimal solution is to electrify all transport, heating and energy production using renewables.

Ask your city and state to take the 100% RE pledge.
